Toys

I collect pedal toys (and other things) and let my Grandchildren play with them.  We have quite a few and all are For Sale.  We may dicker a little on price but not much.  These toys are hard to find.  Imagine your children or Grandchildren playing with these toys for several years and then you sell them for more than you paid for them....that's antiques versus new toys....no guarantee of course but it usually works that way.

Garton Tin Lizzy pedal car with wood frame ... $1,100  Looks like a little toy Model T Ford.  Look at the detail ...the spark and hand throttle levers under the steering wheel and the Motometer radiator cap...just like the real ones!

Irish Mail.... a childs toy from the 1950s   ... $575

This toy is propelled by "pulling" and "pushing" on the T handle while you steer with your feet. My cousin had one of these when I was a kid and I remember that going down a hill was kinda dangerous because the handle never stops going back and forth and it goes faster as you go faster down hill and it can hit you in the nose if your coordination is off...   Steering is done only with your feet.  A neat toy.  Too bad nobody makes them for children today...or maybe they do and I just don't know it.  Bigger kids can enjoy this toy...I am 6' and it is a "squeeze" for me but just a little smaller person can really ride it easily.

Any comments that help us to know more about these toys are welcome. My Grandchildren play with the Irish Mail because it is one of the few riding toys that the larger children can use.

I will add more items as I get time so check us out.  We have a Pedal Airplane, several Pedal tractors, a homemade coaster that steers with feet and rope like we used to build as kids back in the 1950s...my Grandson helped me build this one, several other pedal cars.
