Living Room,  go left through french doors to Big 15' x 22' living room with white carpet and lots of windows.

    •   [If you need or want a 1st floor bedroom, it would not take a lot to make this living room into a very nice bedroom with its own bathroom...if you are interested, just ask and we will explain further.  We had an architect examine this possibility.]
    • Downstairs Bathroom, go straight ahead, down the hall with the curved ceiling and beautiful hardwood floors,  towards kitchen and it is on left with shower, toilet, washbasin, ....convenient for everyone. (hallway photo is 2005 & hallway has since been painted more "neutral".)
    • Laundry Room, is on right in same hall, with new "never been used" Maytag Neptune Dryer and a new upscale washer will be added shortly...(we need to get new photos of them and I will soon)washer and dryer plus plenty of storage and outside door to closed dog yard.
    • Kitchen is 17' x 19' at the end of the hall, beautiful hardwood floors, AND...a brand new, high quality, Cherry kitchen with real Black Granite polished countertops!!  Lot's of countertop and look at that big Chef's stove!!  If there is a person who loves cooking, they will love this kitchen.  It also has a pantry room behind the beautiful door with beveled glass panels from top to bottom but with all the kitchen cabinets and storage, it will take some time before you fill it up.
    • Pictures don't really tell you how beautiful this kitchen is...you have to stand in it and see the lake activities in the background.  This is a house built to live in and enjoy.
    • Family Room, is big and roomy with beautiful hardwood floors, gas log fireplace that has remote to control it, and it is sunken 2 steps below kitchen with french doors from kitchen and another set of french doors from living room.
    • There is a bookcase built into the wall and beamed ceilings with great lighting.  A single door leads to an outside entrance or the basement.
    • Dining Room, is 12' x 16' and open to the kitchen, again with beautiful hardwood floors AND 2 sets of beautiful, leaded glass french doors!  This picture shows it with some furniture...imagine your furniture in it...
    • These doors open on to a big downstairs balcony or veranda.  When they are open, you get a nice breeze from the lake.  You always have a beautiful view of the lake and whatever is going on there.
    • A Breakfast Room, is 9' x 17' with the beautiful hardwood floors, another gas log fireplace with remote, and many windows looking out over the lake is a real plus.
    • Of course some folks might like to make this a downstairs reading room or sitting room. There is always something going on with the lake that is interesting.
    • During the past 2 years there have been major improvements...
...The kitchen now has a high end Chef's Quality Jennair stainless steel range.   Also it has a double door Stainless Steel refrigerator and stainless steel dishwasher.
...The kitchen also has top of the line Cherry cabinets with Black Granite countertops.
...The foyer and stairway has a Cherry finish handrail and Cherry finish trim.
...New Maytag Washer and Dryer have recently been added.
...Central Air Conditioning has been added...even though the owner that lived here for 18 years said that the 2 attic fans always keep it cool enough...but if you get an especially hot day or 2 the AC will be welcome.
...The Hot Tub on the 2nd floor has been removed and that room has been totally refinished and can be a "quiet library" off the Master Bedroom or ...use your imagination.
...The whole inside has been repainted in "neutral" colors.

A well known contractor built this house and the garage/workshop across the street.  Everything in the house and garage were totally new in the past 20 years.  Everything is top quality:
          - Look at the hardwood floors all made with short pieces of wood of different shades...just beautiful!
          - Try any door in the house; they are all perfectly square and open or close with a "click".
          - Look at the French doors going out onto the two balconies...two sets for each balconey with leaded glass designs in the doors.
          - Every room has a fan for better comfort and air circulation, even the 2 outside balconies have fans.  (It helps keep the bugs away in the Summer, I am told.
          - 2 High efficiency furnaces, for the house.  One with its own thermostat for the downstairs and another for the upstairs with the thermostat in the Master Bedroom.  Big Hot Water Heater and Water Softener too.

          - All of the windows are thermopanes with builtin screens.
          - To keep the temperature down in the Summer, there are two attic fans that have therostat controls for normal operation but there are switches in the upper hallway so that they can be turned on to run constantly if needed.  Being on a lake with these fans, Air Conditioning has never been required, but it would not cost much to add it to the high efficiency furnesses, if you felt it was needed.
    • Upstairs....  is up the stairway out of the front foyer...
      • Bedroom #1, is straight ahead when you get to the top of the stairs and is about 14' x 15'..  It has two (2) large closets with sliding doors, a shelf that is wired for TV and phones and two windows, one overlooking the road.
      • A Linen Closet, is to the left just before you go into bedroom #1 and it is cedar lined.
      • Bedroom #2, is to the left down the hall, after you leave bedroom #1. It is about the same size, also with 2 large closets with sliding doors, a TV shelf prewired for phone and tv. This bedroom also has a door leading to the Master Bath, but it can be locked.
      • Bedroom #3, is unique because it has a stairway to another room above it (which for discussion we will call Bedroom #4).  Bedroom #3 is again about the same size as the other 2 bedrooms but the stairway takes some of its space.  It also has the 2 large closets that have sliding doors and a shelf for TV prewired for the tv and the phone.
      • Bedroom #4, is smaller than the bedroom below because of the stairway and the ceiling is low but it has 2 large closets.  Great for childrens playroom.  We added an insulated door to give easy access from this room to the attic.
      •
      • Bathroom #2, has 2 sinks and a tub/shower combination with light colored marble floors, toilet, and a laundry shute to the laundry room...something you don't find in every house.  It also has a cupboard for towels and other supplies.
      • Bedroom #5, the Master Bedroom, is located at the end of the hall and has a combination lock on the door for privacy.  It is a large room about 20' x 20' with 2 sets of french doors with leaded glass that lead out to a private upstairs balconey, totally roofed, overlooking the lake.  There is a Sitting Room about 9' x 15' just off the Master Bedroom with a cathedral ceiling containing 3 skylight windows plus several other windows that can be opened, overlooking the lake.  There is a 9' x 10' walkin closet for the Master Bedroom with clothing racks and shelves above all around the room.  The Master Bathroom (Bathroom #3) can be accessed thru a door from the walkin closet or from the sitting room.  It has a tub/shower, the toilet has its own little room and there are 2 sinks in a separate room area.

There is a large Attic Area with decking that runs from the front to the back of the house.

There are 2 fans that discharge hot air in the Summer via outlets located on the lakeside and frontside of the 3 floor loft room. The fans have switches in the 2nd floor hall, one position makes them run constantly and the other position runs them via a thermostatic control located in the attic. Access to the Attic storage area is via a panel that can be removed in the wall of the loft room. Access to the fans is via panels that can be removed in  the loft room.

Included in the price is the 30' x 70' totally insulated building sitting on 2 city lots across the street!

      This building currently contains:

      • A high bay garage with a tall insulated door that will easily park 3 full sized cars or pickup trucks.
      • Adjoining the garage is a small room open to the garage (I parked a 1970 MG in this room).
      • A complete bathroom with a shower is also adjoining the garage.
      • A door leads to an area that could be a large workshop and there is a private office with 2 windows facing the front.
      • Upstairs is a 5 room apartment of about 1300 sq.ft that is partially finished.  We have an Architect's plan for a 3 bedroom apartment and a building permit to proceed.

I will add more photos above to show something of each of the rooms but in the meantime, click here for more pictures.

3500 sq.ft. of living space plus attic storage and dry basement storage, is a lot of house for the price!  Plus it is on a lake!
          - 3 bathrooms and 4-5 bedrooms and closets galore.
          -Plenty of parking and storage.

We have had people ask "would we sell the house separately from the garage/workshop across the street?".   The simple answer is "Yes, make us a proposal".
If we did that, then probably the front yard (street side) of the house and/or the side of the house, would become a parking area.  We had an Architect make proposals for building either a car port, or a single story garage or a two story garage attached to the side of the house.
Personally I like the idea of the house owner owning the property across the street and if we keep it, we will finish the apartment and rent it out for probably $880-$900/mo plus utilities.  But...take a look at the property and Make An Offer, for however it suits you.
